Basil Lubbock

Glasgow: Brown, Son & Ferguson
First Edition
Fine Condition in a Good condition dust jacket.

First Edition. Together with the scarce dust jacket. xiv, 392 pages. Endpaper maps, numerous illustrations, plans and a fold out map of the Canton River and waters around Hong Kong. Bright blue decorated boards and dust jacket design mirroring the boards. Discrete blue ink gift inscription dated 1941 to the title page.

Fine Condition book in a Good condition dust jacket. Other than the gift inscription and a few brown spots on the front and top edges, the book is in almost pristine condition with bright unmarked boards and sharp corners. The dust jacket is rarely found with this book as it was issued on very thin and fragile paper. This jacket has a larger chip at the bottom of the front panel, small nibbles missing from both ends of the spine, and several other tears without loss.
