UK First edition, originally published in German and translated here by Charles Meisl. Octavo, xiii, 143. Cream cloth covered hard boards with gilt to spine, in the original dust jacket, un-clipped (15/-). Lang was a successful German racing driver, for the Mercedes team in the years immediately before the Second World War. He returned to win Le Mans in 1952 and competed for Mercedes in Formula 1 in the 1953 and 1954 seasons.
The book has a small brown spot stain (3mm) on the front board and a neat previous owner’s name to the ffep, otherwise is in Fine condition. The jacket is Near Fine with the orange spine remaining bright. Attractive copy.
