Born in Hong Kong in 1918, Mak Fung’s photographic activities began in the late 1940’s with a small darkroom at home, later lecturing on photography and taking up editorial roles in various photography publications, including the running of Photo Pictorial, Hong Kong’s longest and most important photography magazine.
