First edition. Folio, pp 105. Bound in blue card wraps, with text and royal coat-of-arms to the front and Noronha & Co. circular devise to the lower cover. Contains six page description of the purpose and method of the investigation followed by 25 tables and plate diagrams with the results. The purpose was to ascertain the difference in direction and velocity of the wind at the Royal Observatory, Kowloon and at Victoria Peak, Hong Kong at different seasons of the year ad different hours of the day.
There is a large piece of the rear cover missing and the top corner of the final page (border only, does not affect any printing), several other pages have short tears with no loss, spine heavily worn, and a small code of shelf label to the top of the front cover. There is a small blind stamp of Harvard College Observatory at the top of the cover and first five pages. Errata slip tipped into the title page. Overall a Good condition copy of a rare document.
