Buddha Jayanti, the largest Buddhist festival is held annually in May in Ceylon to celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha. This poster was most likely distributed in India to encourage Indians to make the pilgrimage to Ceylon either for May 1956 or May 1957 celebrations.
