Picture This Gallery was founded in Hong Kong in 2002 and relocated to the United Kingdom with its owners in 2016. Today, we buy and sell rare and collectible material relating to East Asia, including books, maps, photographs, posters and paper ephemera. We are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association (ABA), the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) and the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA).

 

Between 2004 and 2015 we traded from two galleries in the Central District of Hong Kong. During that time we were the only significant dealer in vintage posters in East Asia and ran the largest contemporary photography gallery in Hong Kong. However as times changed and other opportunities grew we transitioned to a more virtual gallery environment.

 

Today we publish several themed catalogues each year, exhibit at book fairs in the UK and internationally, and work closely with institutions and private collectors to develop collections and source individual items. Many of our most valued client relationships have grown over the years. Our approach is relationship-led rather than transactional, founded on expertise, discretion and the trust that develops over time between dealer and client.

We will celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2027!  How time has flown.
