Fine copper engraved map of Asia published in Atlas Cantractus Orbis Terrarum, circa 1680. The Visscher family were important map publishers in Amsterdam throughout the 17th century. This map includes a large section of the north coast of Australia and the delineation of Japan contains the discoveries of the de Vries of 1643.
