Signed and Inscribed by the author: “To my old friend “Noel” | With my best wishes always | Malcolm”. Name label pasted to the title page of the inscribee and original owner Sir Noel Curtis-Bennett, who was a treasury official and Chairman of the British Olympic Committee. In a departure from his usual writing about motor racing, Campbell here addresses the impending Second World War which he considered to be inevitable by the time this book was written in 1937.
