First edition. Large octavo, pp 226. Bound in burgundy cloth covered hard boards with gilt lettering to the spine and in the original dust jacket, un-clipped (42s. net). Illustrated with maps and photographs. SIGNED and inscribed to the title page: " To ______ + ______, with best wishes, Colin". Book and jacket are both in Very Good condition. A better than usually found copy of Thubron's first book, much enhanced by the warm inscription.
