Stated First Printing. Hard cover, black cloth with blue/silver/purple/blue design to front board.  In the original blue and black dust jacket designed by Philip Grushkin. The Muses are Heard is a narrative by Capote of the visit by the theatre production company of Porgy and Bess to the USSR in 1955; this was the first American theatrical company to visit and perform in the USSR.
