Copper engraved map of Japan issued circa 1720. In original hand colour and embellished with a most striking cartouche. Engraved by Tobias Lotter, Seutter's son-in-law, after the travels of Engelbert Kaempfer to Japan. The map is also decorated with Japanese coats-of-arms along the bottom border.
