The Fourth Hong Kong International Antquarian Bookfair is quickly approaching. The event will be held in the first weekend of December at Pacific Place Conference Centre, Admiralty. During 19-21st November, Picture This will be exhibiting at The Affordable Art Fair at F1 Pits Building, 1 Boulevard, Singapore. We will be at Stand D6, where works by Clare Ashford, Norman de Brackinghe, David Paskett, Matthieu Paley & Michael Yamashita will be showcased. Launched in London 11 years ago, the Affordable Art Fair is now in cities all over the world, including Amsterdam, Brussels, New York, Sydney and Melbourne. Members of the British Chamber of Commerce were last night invited for a private viewing of Chinese Whispers: Paintings and Drawings by David Paskett, P.R.W.S. David presented a tour of the exhibition and told of the stories and inspirations behind his latest works.

Chinese Whispers: Paintings and Drawings by David Paskett, President of the Royal Watercolour Society, opened last night with a cocktail reception at our gallery space. David is recognised as one of Britain's leading watercolourists. His work is held in many private and public collections including the Royal Collection of HM The Queen and the British Museum. He is a frequent exhibitor at London's Bankside Galley where he receives international acclaim. David lived in Hong Kong during the 1980s and China continues to be a great source of inspiration. ![]() French photographer Matthieu Paley's first solo exhibition An Ethereal World - Journeys to the Edges of Asia enjoyed a brilliant and packed opening cocktail party on Tuesday, 18th - with more than 300 attendees who came to see the works and listen to a talk given by Matthieu on how and where these photos were taken. This collection of seventeen awe-inspiring photographs, taken by Matthieu in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Siberia, represent much of the photographer's finest work over the past decade. Picture This is pleased to support The Man Hong Kong International Literature Festival 2010. On Tuesday evening the gallery was transformed to become the venue for award-winning New Zealand author Emily Perkins to introduce and discuss her latest work, Novel About my Wife. Ms. Perkins talked about this new atmospheric psychological thriller set in a dark and sometimes desperate London. The event, assisted by the Creative New Zealand and the New Zealand Book Council, was moderated by television presenter Karen Koh. On the evening of Thursday, 11th March, Norman de Brackinghe and Tony Price attended the opening reception of their joint exhibition Abstracted.
Norman and Tony, both Hong Kong based, has each had over thirty years experience in the graphic arts and design field. Where Norman finds his artistic expression in the distressed abstraction of Hong Kong’s streets and walls, Tony looks up to find abstraction through the reflective patterns in Hong Kong’s high rise buildings.
