A gorgeous set of a comprehensive collection of images of the environs of the Imperial Palaces, taken in 1922 during author’s stay in Peking. Many of the images were never previously seen in other publications. Osvald Sirén was a notable Swedish art historian whose major publications include Walls and Gates of Peking (1924). Rare.
