Vintage airline poster promoting travel to the Far East. Artwork by Guy Georget, with art direction by Jean Carlu. Printed in France, 1956.

The poster includes a 'koinobori', which means a fish-kite or carp-streamer in Japanese. Koinobori windsocks are traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate the children's day holiday of "Tango no sekku" in the month of May.

This is the original French text version of this poster with 'extreme-orient' across the top. It was subsequently printed with English text across the top.
